About National School of Drama Entrance Exam 2017-18

NSD Admission 2017 will be administrated by the National School of Drama, Delhi. The NSD is an autonomous institution offer education & training in the field of dramatic arts. This school conducts various rounds, i.e. Preliminary Test/ Audition and Final Workshop for providing admissions. Candidates have to clear the rounds to get admission. Through this examination, students can check details about NSD 2017 Admission including application form, eligibility, etc.

NSD Entrance exam 2017 Important Dates

Test Will be conducted at the following city centers:


NSD Eligibility

  • Students must have done graduation in any stream from any recognized college (In India or Abroad).
  • Candidates should have participated in minimum six theater productions.
  • Candidates must have working knowledge of English & Hindi.
  • Five year relaxation in age limit will be given to SC/ST candidates.
  • The minimum age limit is 20 years and the maximum age limit is 30 years.

NSD Admission Procedure 2017-18

Admission Procedure will be in 3 phases

First Phase: This stage will contain Audition or Practical Test. It may be organized in New Delhi, Kolkata, Bengaluru, Guwahati and Mumbai and Lucknow.

Second Phase: Selected candidates will be called for a four to five days Workshop at New Delhi.

Third Phase: Candidate’s performance in the workshop will be evaluated and accordingly they will be invited for a final selection round.


NSD Questions Pattern

The NSD Admission Test will check the acting skills and aptitude of the candidate. The questions shall be related to aptitude and acting skills. The examination will be conducted in two language medium which will be Hindi and English. Candidates can choose any one according to their comfort


NSD Exam Center, application Form and Fees

Candidates can get the application form via online and offline mode. Candidates can download the application form through the website and send it along with demand draft to the authority. After the examination, the NSD 2017 Results will be provided to students. The result  will be announced by mid June (tentatively). Candidates will be selected for further admission rounds on the basis of performance in exam.
